Brundo the Bear took 2nd place

The 1st International Children and Animation Film Festival - VAFI took place place between the 9th and the 11th April in Varaždin. The competition program was divided into three categories - MINI (children up to 10 years of age), MIDI (youth from 11 to 14 years of age) and MAXI (youth from 15 to 18 years of age). Brundo the Bear (by Gal Šušteršič, Leon Modic, Luna Woele, Jan Vardellis, Tilen Vardellis, Rožle Deu, Melita Vizjak and Dijana Mujikanovič) took second place in the MINI category, which included 27 other films.
The awarded animated film was produced by Društvo za oživljanje zgodbe 2 koluta during a weekly animation workshop that took place in the Oton Župančič Library from the 7th to the 11th of December 2009. It's development was mentored by Louise-Marie Colon, Delphine Hermans and Andreja Goetz. The workshop was organized by Animateka 2009, Elephant and Camera-etc with the support of WBI, Ljubljana City Library and the Slovenian Film Fund.
